small insect in lcd screen

For the last few days I've had a very small insect journeying across my screen, ie under top surface. Last couple of days its been getting slower and slower.

Have been coercing it to move with gentle taps on the screen, but think I'll gave that up, it can't be doing the screen any good. And it could go anywhere, like right in the middle of the screen.
Luckily it's presently on the lower left hand side so mostly goes unnoticed, appears in the recent topics section of MacTalk.

Any ideas, it's looking like it's just run out of energy to move.

I wouldn't have thought there was enough room in there for an insect. :S

Suprised me too, its about the same size as a comma, has two antler like spikes at the front and I can just make out the back legs.

Hasn't moved at all for an hour or so. Beginning to look a permanent addition.

Perhaps if it dies there you will be able to perhaps shake it/tap it so that it isn't in view?

Cover the screen in honey and call it an ant farm?

With me there is no GIF in you, I use SafariPlus which blocks animations.

Patience grasshopper, just bought first digital camera and I'm yet to discover its inner secrets.
But I will when I can. It's a good comparison shot with the offending one beside bljpoad's avatar.

Hmmm... maybe it crawled in there?

OR... the screen gave birth

In the later case... Congratulations
