Want to buy PC Speakers

Does anybody know where I can purchase Cyber Acoustics speakers. I'm particularly after the 3640 model.

I found that Audion are a local distributor but don't sell retail and when I contacted them I was told that I could order them through Harvey Norman at rrp of $149.95.

Rang several HN stores but to no avail, they didn't carry them and couldn't guarantee they would be available even if I placed an order for them.

Looked to purchased them from US online stores and take advantage of the strong AUD but couldn't find any that shipped overseas.

Go to Price USA | Shop where you want and give them the details of the U.S.A stores. They will buy it in the U.S.A and ship it to you. Its how I purchased my iPhone.

Contact a Harvey Norman store and provide them with the part number and RRP price from Audion. HN supply audion products, so while it may not be in their systems, they should be able to order it.

Audion are friends of MacTalk and nice guys - send them an email and ask where you can buy em from. Chances are if a store stocks other products that Audion distribute, they can order it in for you.

Out of interest, is there a reason you want these speakers? They don't seem to special to warrant the effort to me? I could be missing something though!

Thank you all for your replies, they were very useful.

I was interested in the Cyber Acoustics speakers as from the reviews I've read they perform better in the mid ranges as opposed to other speakers in the same price range.

The Logitech Z4 seems to be all the rage at the moment but I wasn't too impressed when I played a selection of CD's, I'm after clarity and not just volume as I would be using them to listen to music on my iMac.

I don't play computer games and wouldn't use them for playing movies although I will be using them for watching TV.

I like my bass to be tight and not overpowering as many sub woofers tend to be. The Altec Lansing range was ok, didn't like the Creative or the Edifier speakers.

Can't afford the Klipsch ProMedia speakers or the AudioEngine series. Bose while retailing at the same price has never done it for me although I know they are very popular.

Decryption if you know of another brand of speakers that perform equally as well in the mid ranges and not just the low and high, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

Cheers
