Question Elgato Diversity

Hi all,

I have read the threads re the Diversity tuner, but couldn't find an answer to this simple question.

I will be connecting the Diversity to a co-axial cable which is connected to my external antenna. Will I be able to receive/record two channels simultaneously from the one antenna connection?

My Topfield PVRt5000 PVR is a twin tuner appliance, however I have to connect the external antenna cable to "Tuner 1 IN", then loop from "Tuner 1 OUT" back to "Tuner 2 IN".

Thanks ,
Geoff.

Yep, it's like the Toppy - it has two actual antenna sockets that need connections.

Silly but true.

I haven't actually seen many twin tuner devices with an internal splitter. What's worse, the Diversity uses an MCX connector for the second tuner (not a big deal now as they include one in the box).

I highly recommend getting a 4 way splitter if you have your toppy next to your Mac/Diversity.

Does the normal co-axial end of the MCS connector have a male or female connector.

Reason I am asking is so that I can get the correct connectors, antenna splitter etc., without having to make a second trip to the store.
