I was reading the forum Hell has frozen over- 2 button mouse and started to think.
If Apple was to design a two button mouse, what would it be like. Knowing Apple this mouse isn't going to be a standard two button mouse, they are going to make it so it stands out.
According to the AppleInsider article, one insider said that it will be "Jaw will drop."
So, if Apple makes a two button mouse, what do you think it will like? Is there any features you personally want added to this mouse?

it'll have click wheel technology.
Apple patenented it's use on mouses last year.

I will believe it when I see it!
I'm still fond of my one button mouse... does this mean two buttons on our beloved Apple notebooks also?

I'd love a click wheel mouse, as long as it made the little click noise
Dont know about two buttons though, I switched recently and I love the one button mouse
Oh and Disko the plural of mouse is mice (just to be picky lol) :P
(Just did a quick google and apparently both are acceptable, my humble apologies)

As a PC user who has recently started using an iBook, I'm still at that stage where 2-buttons seems logical to me.
I'm currently using SideTrack to simulate the right mouse button on the lower-right corner of my trackpad - works wonders for me as I also use trackpad-tap for left-click. Now I only use the mouse button for those fiddly drag operations.
Ucontrol is also really great, but I had a feeling it was crashing my iBook - SideTrack is well worth the money for laptop users.

I love my eMac, I love Apple hardware, I love OSX, I dislike Windows and PC boxes and the one button Apple mouse. I love, and don't shoot me for this, my Microsoft 5 button wireless mouse. It makes web-building etc a lot easier. OSX supports multi-button mice - why so long for a multi-button Apple mouse!!!!

I am glad I have resisted the MX1000...if that had BT I would have purchased it. Now Apple will hopefully bring out something sweet for June...

I do believe that mouses is the correct term when referring to mice for computers.

well actually... I don't want a mouse. I want a pen without a tablet (that isn't as sensitive as a pen with a tablet) - it could have a switch that acts as a button or scroll wheel
OR
a cap to fit over my index finger (right hand) and one for my left index finger (for scrolling and multi-tasking) - that would be neat - like drawing in the mist on the shower door.

I have to agree. I bought a $30 wireless (not bluetooth) mouse for my PowerBook, and it works quite well. I will have to weigh up the costs of a new mouse and compare it to my current one, and if the RUMOURED apple mouse is better, that will be the one to get. Meh, my Logitech one works, and since December has had the same batteries.
