Logitech speakers problem

Hi all,

I have some logitech x-230 speakers for my laptop. Its essentially 2 side speakers plus a subwoofer. I've had them for about 5 months bought from Bing Lee in Canberra.

I have just noticed that there is no sound coming from the right side speaker which controls the volume and just wondered if anyone else had experienced a similar problem. Also if you guys think I have much chance of a replacement if I take them back.

cheers
Nick

Check that the cables are plugged in correctly. If they really aren't working and you have the receipt, there's every chance Bing Lee will get them repaired or replaced.

Go to Sound in the Sys Prefs and see if the slider has moved over to one side.
For some reason it does this occasionally.
If so, move the slider back to the centre and all should be well.

It's a known bug (hence mctexts excellent advice). It's not common and I can only think of a handful of instances over the last couple of years but it happens. I also don't really believe that anyone knows what causes it.

Only reason I know about this bug is that it happened to me and prompted me to join MacTalk a few years ago.
Forget which member helped at that time.
So the site is surely working.
