Computer Retailers in Newcastle?
I'm visiting my father in Newcastle and the hard drive in his MacBook has died. I want to replace it for him while I'm here (next 2 days) and was wondering if anyone can recommend me a computer retailer in Newcastle who would stock 2.5" SATA hard drives?

And, if they happened to be open today (Boxing Day), that would be a nice bonus.

May be possible to call the Kotara Domayne to see if they are open this Boxing Day, and if they have internal notebook hard disks.

It is located a bit away from the Westfield Kotara, which is closed on Boxing Day.

That is a spot of bad luck have you tired the surrounding towns ? If you have then I guess you might have to wait till one is open again. Or eBay ?

Hi Luke
Not to many shops open in Newcastle today DJ`s in town but I doubt they stock hard drives. Tomorrow thursday shops will all open up but very crowed with after christmas sales. You could try Mac 1 In Hamilton or Dick Smiths at Tighs Hill or Tri Benedict at Union St The Junction the best bet and less crowed.

Be prepared to pay top price in Newcastle only real specials are at the Computer Fair held once a month at Broadmeadow.

PS Another option buy external drive at Office Works (Newcastle West and Kotara)take it out and put it in the mac I doubt if they keep 2.5 inch in internals.
