a better mouse than a mighty mouse?
us.kensington.com/html/13880.html
Heads up about an exciting new mouse that looks like it would suit Macs. Why?
1. Aluminium colour.
2. Hybrid mouse and trackball in one!
3. Bluetooth without USB dongle.
Seems real nice and I know what I'll be getting if my Mighty Mouse ever packs up. Just don't know when it will become available in Australia. Does anybody know if anywhere in Australia is selling these? Has anybody used them?
I for one am sick of the mighty mouse, I have had three in 2 years, they all die with no amount of cleaning to bring the scroll ball back to life

Will probably be crap, look at it - it's flat. It's not much worse than the bar of soap we have at the moment, but still, for ergonomics, that Kenginston mouse leaves a lot to be desired.
I do like the big trackball/scroll wheel on it.

The mighty mouse is shit - I'll give you that, however, I get the feeling the Kensington mouse is going to be a pain (literally) to use as it's low profile and flat.

I'm very glad to see a 360 scroller on other mice though.

At Officeworks last week we receipted delivery of the new Logitech MX Air mouse. Snazzy looking thing...
but at a whopping $269, a little expensive!

Nah, too many colours/gradations of grey sort of thing.
I think Apple should replace the scroll ball with a 360-degree dust-buildup-free trackpad in that spot (like on a laptop). Then I'd be happy.

I'm using a Kensington, works great. Scroll wheel is ingenious, and the large ball makes scanning easy and quick. The unit comes with a wrist rest, and I haven't found any RSI impact at all - as a matter of fact that is why I changed from the MM, or any mouse for that matter. I have a PC as well, but Kensington don't provide drivers for Windows, otherwise I'd buy another.

I can't see why Apple have just not replaced the flaky scroll nipple with a mini trackpad. It'd be almost perfect.
