I was never allowed Lego as a kid

EDIT: OK i was allowed those big arse blocks and I also had some regular blocks. I was never allowed the cooler stuff though.

I never had lego either. BTW those "Big arsed blocks" AREN'T LEGO!!

Now I have kids it's awesome... I get to play with it everyday - the only drama is that I have to go to work!

My wife is probably the world's biggest lego fan. She bought a heap of lego (including the Pirate Ship, motorised parts and other collections) 10 years before we even met! Then she had to wait for six years to finally be able to give the pirate ship to our eldest son! Although I didn't marry her for her lego, it certainly WAS a consideration!

I love lego and at $80 these blocks are about the same price as the real stuff. I had so much lego growing up, I used to nag until I got two of everything, because my brother would want one and one castle is boring but with two.... I later apologised to no end for my $$$$ addiction. It's like child crack only more expensive once you're hooked.
