I have an Elgato EyeTV diversity.

It works like a charm at my house in Melbourne plugged in to the roof top aerial. The aerial is tuned to the max for digital delivering an excellent picture on my macbook pro. I only plug in the rooftop to the unit not applying the second stick antenna for diversity.

I have moved to Palm cove for a Holiday. I plug in a DSE powered digital portable antenna. I get a 88- 92% signal indicated. It has 0% signal quality indicated. I add the small stick antenna and nothing changes.

Auto scan sees nothing, exhaustive scan sees nothing.

My Melbourne channels are still there.

I miss the PVR functions!!!

Is there a problem or is 0% signal quality mean there is actually no service here.

A call to Retravision in Cairns revealed that if analogue works on a nearby TV then digital should follow - thats their experince with DTV in North Cairns.

Any thoughts, how can I dump the Melbourne channel list - would the evetv be looking for them??

Deleting the file <your username>/Library/Preferences/com.elgato.eyetv.plist should reset all your EyeTV preferences, including the channels scanned in Melbourne.

So you don't have the diversity connected to a rooftop antenna?

Rooftop antenna from the hotel less ( signal 67% 0% signal ) quality than the DSE portable - probably comes from a device that sends Austar and FTA analogue to the set in our room.

Trashed the pref you suggested, restarted - re registered scanned nothing. signal 93% Quality 0%

Melbourne channels back!!!
