My new BT mouse

Today I went to the Sony store at World Sq in Sydney and bought the Vaio VGP-BMS33 silver BT Mouse. I have to say it's the best BT mouse I have ever owned. It's tracking is extremely smooth, the scroll wheel is easy and the laser is more precise than even the BT Mighty Mouse was.

I've owned many BT mice over the last couple of years from Logitech to Radtech and Apple and have seen this mouse around but was never really sure if I wanted to spend $110 on a mouse that might turn out to be mediocre. I'm glad I did.

It is a 3 button BT mouse with scroll wheel (the third button being the scroll wheel when you press it down). The two buttons are obviously left and right but you can't really identify it just by appearance alone. Unlike the Might Mouse though the left and right clicks are distinctly separate from each other and there's no risk that you'll try right clicking and end up doing a left click.

The mouse is flatter and longer than the usual mouse, I guess much the same as an Apple mouse is, except that it is more pointy at either end which gives the mouse a definite sense of direction.

I thoroughly recommend this mouse for people looking for a BT alternative other than an Apple one.

I couldn't find a Sony link in Australia (but you can buy it at any Sony store in Australia) so HERE is an alternative link. I must mention the picture on this website doesn't do it justice thought. It's actually silver like the Logitech V270 is silver and matches a MBP very well.

[edit] Oh I forgot to mention it does has an on/off switch underneath it and uses 2 x AA batteries. It paired with no problem at all to my MBP which actually identified it by it's name.

I would like one that scrolls everywhere like the mighty mouse was meant to, but doesn't bugger up after 6 months... maybe Tuesday will show us the new touch mouse.. that HAS NO WHEEL, but all touch, so it wont bugger up anymore!

Absolutely. A Mighty Mouse with a mini scroll/track pad rather than that bodgy scroll nipple would be a fantastic idea.
