Not having a button on the side like the G5 makes this a no sale for me. Why do Bluetooth mice always lack the extra button?

And on wireless mice, could anyone tell me if the slide needs to be across to save battery life on the base of d applemightymouse, specifically when my mac mini goes to sleep. i.e. Does the mouse go to sleep with the mini..? It might be a dud question, but it seems easier to ask than read the instructions.
