Exclamation Pinnacle & EyeTV group buy

I have prices now. Everything's been bundled together, so I hope what everyone wants is covered. Please note that the margins on individual products weren't enough to let us offer a huge discount on them... so that's why all the bundles are 2 or 3 things together.

The products in the bundles

Pinnacle TV for Mac HD Stick - a USB high definition digital TV tuner. This comes with EyeTV Lite (but you can buy a bundle with the full EyeTV 2 software to get all the features).

Pinnacle TV for Mac Hybrid Stick - a USB high definition digital TV tuner, analogue tuner and analogue input. This comes with EyeTV Lite (but you can buy a bundle with the full EyeTV 2 software to get all the features).

EyeTV 2 retail - The full retail EyeTV 2 software box. This isn't an upgrade, it's the full thing (it's cheaper here than the upgrade is anyway).

IceTV 12 month subscription - A 12 month subscription (on top of the trial that comes with the EyeTV software). This gives you a TV guide, one click recording, series recording and remote recording (from a web browser or mobile phone). One click and series recording isn't possible without this. Also gives you some other stuff, like a 7 day TV guide in the IceTV widget.

If you have any questions regarding exactly what these things do, please don't hesitate to ask. Please also ensure you have a rooftop style antenna for use with the tuners, as good reception can't be guaranteed without one.

The bundles

Bundle 1: EyeTV + IceTV
RRP$198... Group buy = $168 ($30 cheaper)

Bundle 2: Pinnacle HD Stick + IceTV
RRP$198... Group buy = $168 ($30 cheaper)

Bundle 3: Pinnacle HD Stick + EyeTV
RRP$198... Group buy = $168 ($30 cheaper)

Bundle 4: Pinnacle HD Stick + EyeTV + IceTV
RRP$297... Group buy = $248 ($49 cheaper)

Bundle 5: Pinnacle Hybrid Stick + IceTV
RRP$298... Group buy = $248 ($50 cheaper)

Bundle 6: Pinnacle Hybrid Stick + EyeTV
RRP$298... Group buy = $255 ($43 cheaper)

Bundle 7: Pinnacle Hybrid Stick + EyeTV + IceTV
RRP$397... Group buy = $315 ($82 cheaper!)

To order

Please call 1300 654 803 or email sales@icetv.com.au to order.

To make sure the people who posted in the thread get their order, all your MacTalk and Whirlpool user names have been given to the sales guys. This means you won't miss out, as we're only ordering 50 Pinnacle tuners all up.

Free delivery to anywhere in Australia is included in the price (everythings's sent from Sydney). If you didn't post in the original thread, then there is some extra stock, but you'd probably better order quickly or you'll miss out.

Thanks to everyone who posted... this wouldn't have been possible without the huge amount of interest.

Are Pinnacle & Elgato two different manufacturers ?
Do they both use the same EyeTV software for their devices ?

Thanks

Correct

Elgato make the EyeTV software, as well as rebadge some OEM manufacturer's tuner hardware. Pinnacle make the hardware and use Elgato's software EyeTV.

Thanks Decryption.

Just one more question. Why do you prefer Pinnacle over Elgato ? What advantages does Pinnacle have over Elgato ?

I've won IceTV subscription here in MacTalk and I'm thinking of buying a TV tuner, so thanks for your replies guys.

Regards

Personally, I prefer the Elgato Diversity (the dual tuner thing rocks), but the Pinnacle ones are apparently slightly better quality, plus, they're cheaper.

Awesome, I was going to buy an icetv subscription too. On the account the wife is going to buy a Beyonwiz for the house, so I figured thats 2 devices that could use our subscription in the same house. Makes sense and better value. So now I can get it + Eyetv full version for a good price.

I'll have to put my order in very soon I think. Just as well it was payday again

Yep, use up to three devices works flawlessly (and is supported, endorsed and loved by IceTV).

Marc,

Is it possible to have the IceTV subscription start from a set day. ie. If I purchase now can I say to them I don't want it to start until a certain time. As I won't be using it until our house is built and thus don't want to buy and have it start right away when I can't make use of it until I move.

I figured I'd ask you quickly here, then asking sales

Yep, you can just choose to not run the Setup Assistant in the EyeTV software (to not start the IceTV trial), or choose to not go to our IceTV prepaid site and enter the card numbers you're given until you're ready.

That's completely fine and will work as desired.

Also, make sure you run the setup assistant, then go to the prepaid site to get the trial AND the 12 month subscription!

So when I purchase I will be given some codes which will enable my account to then have 12 months enabled. As my old old icetv account is currently set as expired. So if I do purchase and can add those codes or subscription to my account in say 3 months time, to have it then start counting down it's 12 months from then. It would then make my wife happy as we won't use it for atleast another 2.5 months.

That's absolutely right. Don't want to upset the wife

A word of warning: If you're upgrading a widget account to a full account, then there's 1 small setting that needs to be changed to make EyeTV work (a device needs to be added in IceTV Remote). Accounts created in the EyeTV setup assistant, on the IceTV site or over the phone with one of the sales guys will have this set up automatically.
