Digital TV for All Your Macs
Now you can watch free digital over-the-air or cable TV from all the Macs in your home or office.

The HDHomeRun for Mac is an unique centralized digital TV tuner that connects to your Ethernet network, and can be shared by any Mac using the included EyeTV software. Thanks to its dual tuners, two users can be watching or recording different programs at the same time.

Because the HDHomeRun is a network device, you don’t need to have an antenna or cable TV outlet near your computer. You just locate the HDHomeRun tuner wherever you have a convenient antenna or cable outlet and connect it to your network.

HDHomeRun for Mac is powered by award-winning
EyeTV digital TV recording software:
Watch digital television on your Mac.
Watch and record live TV simultaneously or watch two channels.
Picture-in-Picture.
Rewind, fast-forward, and pause live TV.
Browse EyeTV menus in Full Screen mode.
Record hours of favorite TV shows directly on a Mac's hard drive and edit out unwanted content.
Find TV shows using the built-in Program Guide.
Store your collection on an external drive, or burn it to disc.
Export TV clips and entire episodes to an iPodฎ, iPhone™ or AppleTV™.

Looks fantastic! Problem is that it's ATSC - not DVB-T, so it won't work in Australia until they fix that (easy I'm assuming).

Yeah I believe that too, as the original units which I saw some weeks back when I was doing some Mythtv research where I found the units advertised by the manufacturer over here.

It looks like Elgato are just selling it since they have included software support for it. Much like Mythtv has done so too, Mythtv boxes can use these tuners too.

If they make a Australian version, I'd be inclined to buy

Looks like we will never see a DVB-T one.
I received this from Elgato:

Hi.
Unfortunately, because this is a third-party piece of hardware, we have no control over the DVB-T capabilities of the HDHomeRun, and they will not be available in Australia. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

Thank you for contacting Elgato.

Yeah I hope so too, anyone want to email them to ask When I found it in my travels some weeks back I didn't bother exploring further, but I didn't know they would have Elgato adding support into its EyeTv software at the time. Although Mythtv has adopted it and support the SiliconDust hardware as per my post way way above

Hi,
The DVB-T version of the HDHomeRun will be in pilot production this year.
We can email you nearer the release date if you are interested.
