I just recently became a Mac owner (second hand 17" Macbook Pro - Core Duo). I am super happy with Mac and am now looking at ditching my PC/Windows based HTPC, and am looking into getting a Mac mini and the Elgato Hybrid tuner and use the analogue input for Foxtel.

I have been using a PC for a long time with a Dvico tuner (with analogue) for the Foxtel and the image quality with the Dvico software is quite poor. So I have been using DScaler (www.dscaler.org) software which has many filter options that can really improve the analogue image quality.

My question is, what is the image quality like on the analogue input on the Elgato and does the software have options for enhancing the image quality - or does anyone know of a Mac equivalant of DScaler?
