weird hard drive issue any ideas?
hey just got back from a trip away, switched on my g5 and my 2nd lacie D2 drive comes up with the message that the drive isnt readable. Has anyone got any ideas whats going on , as it was working fine before I left, also any ideas how to fix it and maybe save my data... aghhhh

Data Rescue II. Get onto it straight away.

I've had two hard drive failures in the last couple of months, and I've not dealt with them in the best way - don't try to fiddle with the drive, and don't give up hope and initialise/throw it away. Just accept that the drive may possibly be gone forever, and do what you can to recover the data (see above).
