Hi all,

I need to colour calibrate a second monitor that i've hookes up to my MBP.
The laptop is calibrated using a Colour Syder 2, profile lives where it ought to.

How do I select the secondary monitor?
Do i go to system preferences & designate the secondary monitor as the primary. And then calibrate etc.
If so is the laptop monitor now stuck using the new settings too. Or can they both live on their customized setting?

I don't have a Spyder, so I'm not 100% sure how it handles it but I do have a Huey and here's my take.

As you said you need to change the primary monitor and rerun the calibration on it, ensuring that this second profile has a different name to your first. You can then set each profile for the appropriate monitor in the Colour tab of the Displays System Preference panel.

You may need to disable the Spyder software if it insists on swapping profiles (the Huey does it on startup).

Select the 2nd monitor by dragging the Spyder window to the 2nd monitor.
Then everything is automatic - no need to fiddle with anything else.
