mac upgrade question

hey im new to this forum, and macs, having recently purchased a macbook 13" notebook. my question is is it possible to upgrade the 60gb hardrive to either an 80gb or above without purchasing another notebook, and is it possible to add a dvd burner on it? thanks for ur help, im loving macs after using pc/windows for so long.

Upgrading the harddrive in the MacBook is a breeze. Pop out the Battery and roll the new hard drive in, which can be any standard laptop HD.

I'm not sure about upgrading the optical drive.

led-zep, the firewire version of this Lacie slim DVD-RW might be worth considering. It's self-powered by the firewire cable, but is slower than a full sized drive.
