Apple TV

Apple TV is officially launched in Sydney this evening. They will be in store by Friday! No word on support for 4x3 screens yet.

luke_in_tas - Apple has done some weird shipping stuff lately - when my dads macbook pro shipped, it could only be tracked on the UK TNT site - the Aussie site had no information on it what so ever!

I have an update!!!

Just got off the phone with Apple as I was told to call later today to confirm shipment.

Our AppleTVs have not necessarily shipped. The shipment from BAX Global is the shipment from China to Apple Australia. They still have to be processed by Apple in Australia and then sent via TNT.

I have been advised this, by Apple and that our AppleTV order will show a TNT consignment note when shipped...they had me on hold for over 10 minutes trying to confirm what was happening so I hope it is the right information.

Here's to be a bit more waiting!

Adam.

Going by the BAX Global tracking info, my Apple TV comes in at 700kg and in 6 pieces, I'm hoping that's because they've thrown in a few hundred Macbooks just to say thanks for my patience after the delay! ;-)

For those that are interested the tracking number on the orders for BAX Global leads to the below information in the screenshot.

It appears that Apple have provided the Tracking Number for the bulk shipment of AppleTV's coming through from China. ETA is 22/03/2007 so earliest shipment being Friday 23/03/2007 I would expect.

Adam.

Any one received one or got any updates? I still don't have an individual tracking number on my order.

Er, could someone fix the spelling on this thread? 'Mergd'? It sounds like some fad Web 2.0 site.

Much appreciated
