AKA it's cheaper to get it outright from Apple if you can.

You'd have to think long and hard before buying any of the prepaid offers when it's just as easy to order an outright unlocked from Apple and then just go get yourself a Prepaid sim from the carrier of your choice.

With the 32GB being $10 more expensive than buying outright?
Prepaid phones are always full price, they don't subsidize something they might not even make any money on. what do you expect?

+1

Epic Optus fail.

I'm so glad we have unlocked iPhones available from Apple and 5 iPhone carriers. Australia, land of the free iPhone.

Why would Optus make locked iPhones more than Apple unlocked iPhones.

Especially now you can buy the iPhones from the Apple online store.

The fact that its cheaper to just buy it outright? If they were smart they'd do outright+ 10 - Fee to unlock. That way legit customers would actually buy it.
