Great news, lets hope that if Optus don't bring out the prepaid/outright option, maybe '3' will......

Plan.

I have been with 3 in the past and they were excellent. I'm with Optus right now and I don't even get signal in my house.

I'm just hoping 3 get it early July, not late July. Otherwise it's going to be hard to resist temptation.

According to this report, the release date is July 3.

Although I'm a little suspicious that someone there has read the press release incorrectly. The 3GS with 3 on the 3rd. A little too many 3s there.

Three has confirmed that the iPhone Starter Pack will no longer be available for new customers.

may be the 49+1GB gone?

I really wonder what cost the data roaming will do though, I find with my phone (SEm600i) it drops over to roaming quite a bit, hate to start racking up charges. Also find while my current phone is roaming, it only allows voice or data, but not both at once...so when its getting data I can't ring out or nor can anyone ring in.

haha, i just realised, three is getting iphone when apple released firmware 3.0.

coincidence?

anyway, been using 3g iphone on 3 and very happy.. not about the coverage though. hopefully as voda merged with 3, 3 will get better 2g coverage (and maybe no roaming with telstra anymore?). except from that, everything is excellent

hmm.. just wondering, would they provide an upgrade solution to those who have been on their iphone plans?

Come to think of it, this is good news to me
Gives me a little time to save more money before I
actually start the plan.

Although I hope we see it early July!

Very happy with 3

Hell yeah!

Hopefully the 4 phones we have on my account and the $150/mo ish we give them will score me some nice credit when upgrading!

Seeing as 3 have ripped down their old iPhone plans, the new one must be coming reasonably soon (i.e early July)?
