i love the idea of the Voice Memo app.

i was just playing around with it and couldnt help but notice that they are name-less.. and from what i can tell.. they can't be named.

wonder why they did it like that?
Oh i know.. so they can add that feature to the next update and talk it up like some amazing new feature. LOL

Tap to get to your list of recordings, tap the arrow next to the recording, tap the main info bubble ("Recorded on Saturday 13 June 2009") and then select a tag, or create a custom one.

I can't believe how difficult it is to download 3.0 for the touch! I've been getting errors in iTunes for the last half hour.

Edit: Now I'm just getting session timeouts after I agree to the Ts & Cs.

Edit 2: Goddamn. Everything goes through, it asks for my password, it looks like it's about to start downloading, then 'The iTunes Store conditions have changed!' When I accept them, it takes me back to the Store and says 'try your purchase again!'. Now it's just more errors. Grr.

Edit 3: 9.14, it starts downloading. Finally!

I'm very, very surprised that they released exactly the same update, down to the hash tag, as the Gold Master.

Things like group SMS' would've been so easy to fix, but they went live.

I've just tested the find-my-iphone aspect of MobileMe with OS3. I was a bit concerned it might not work with the original iphone (we dont get MMS etc) but it does, and it works beautifully!! Even pinpoints the location much more accurately than in the past.

I am chuffed. The update is worth that, if nothing else

I suspect we'll get another update in about a month (3.0.1) which will also conveniently close the ultrasn0w loophole found by the dev team.

guys i've got tethering working on USB

but I am still yet to switch to a Mac computer and thus am trying to do bluetooth tethering on my Dell XPS M1330 with Windows 7 and I can't get it to work

I know its a long shot but is anyone on here using Bluetooth tethering and windows 7?

Bah nice features in 3.0 but c'mon apple give us some UI customization, i dont want to jailbreak my iPhone!! And i also miss attachment option in mail and sending multiply photos!

Is anyone else finding their phone is laggy when going into landscape mode for SMS and email? Mine takes awhile to swap modes and doesn't feel snappy at all. Be interested in other people's thoughts.

Where do you go to find out how to use the new features of 3.0? Like Spotlight, Voice...umm...thingy, and such?

Got the update, love it, went almost smoothly, would recognise my SIM card at first, had to reboot and thought I'd mucked up the install but it picked up OK.

Not sure about the voice memos, I use Note2self which is much better.

iPhone 3 is fscking spectacular in my opinion. So many little things have been tweaked and added. It's like I've got a new phone.

Spotlight is great.

I use MobileMe and I now have all my MobileMe contacts and all them duplicated in a "on my iPhone" category with no easy we to get rid of them.

Any thoughts.

Uncheck "sync AddressBook contacts" in iTunes.
