Default How much data does data-apps use?

Just a quick question, Im on prepaid so I ussualy buy 'data packs' of around 200MB, but its expired and I was wondering If I send a tweet, or send some data on Tap Tap Reveng, or any game (e.g high scores), how much data would that use? Or cost? Im on Optus, and was wondering if tweeting every now and then when I DONT have data on my plan will use a load of my credit.

Each one doesn't use much, but even without going into an app the iPhone still uses data.

Unless of course those apps move lots of images, video ect. But each Tweet is very small.

Hmm im on vodafone without a data plan too because i dont browse the net.

A while back i was complaining on mactalk because my phone was using data for no reason. It seemed to stop with recent firmware updates though. You will find apps dont use much data at all. Emails run around 25kb or so. When i use Ozweather it uses about the same.

Tweets dont really require much info to be download, its only a few sentences. It really depends wether you get 5 tweets when you load, or 50 tweets like when i was following the CFA

A very negligible amount. The things that will take up most of your usage are images when Safari Browsing, images in emails, obviously audio and video of any kind, and apps.

Twitter/text email use a negligible amount of data.

Exclamation The Maps App uses heaps

I think you will find that the Maps App uses a significant amount of data, especially if you are using it to find out where you are - as I found out on a recent trip to Singapore!

Ah of course, forgot about Maps, but yes, it uses a lot of data, it's basically downloading a lot of images.
