I recently picked up Night Stand, a rather pretty clock/alarm app. It's good looking, but requires your iPhone to be connected if you want to keep the display on.

Does the Apple alarm still work while it is running - or do you need to use their built in alarm function?

I have my iPhone wake me up to the sound of "Never Gonna Give You Up, Never Gonna Let You Down"....

omg my most used feature on the iphone.. its brilliant.. like anything apple, its just easy to use.. i remember how cumbersome the nokia menus were and just finding where to enter the alarm was a challenge!

Another thing that I didn't realise (until I went looking for an app on the appstore then thought I should see if the iPhone can already do it) was that you can use your iPhone to put you to sleep to music too, then turn off with a sleep timer.
Just start playing your "sleep" playlist you put together (or any music), then go into clock, Timer and set it as shown (adjusting the time to count down for your specific preference): ![]() It keeps your iPhone on, but stops playback of the "iPod" section - Very cool! Regards, Shane. |
