Default Mute key broken

Hi guys
the little switch on the left top side of the Iphone to make it silent has broken off my phone without warning. Am very bumbed about it too
Has anyone else had this problem. Most of all how does everyone think apple will go with helping me in regards to it. Will be in sydney next week so thought I would take direct to apple store there. Is only 4 bloody months old....

I have read that iPhones with this issue were being replaced by the Apple Stores Sydney/Chadstone/Chatswood. As long as it didn't happen due to neglect, then you shouldn't have any trouble getting a replacement.

Don't forget to book a genius appointment ahead of time.

Just thought I would let everyone know. I did as some suggested. Went back to Apple in Syd.
They had one look and gave me a new phone on the spot. Excellent service. Was very impressed. Thanks all,

This happened to our 18 year old's iPhone and we took it to the Chadstone store and they replaced it over the counter also.

Evidently this is a known issue.

This just happened to my wife's iPhone. Looks like we are going back for another replacement. It'd be fine if we didn't have to drive so bloody far. When does the Doncaster store open?
