Thanks again white Phone. Ah when you say make sure you use the correct file which correct file is that mate the one that gets built by Pwnage and is there a particular file to download and use with this version as there was with the first in your guide.

Is it necessary to unlock again on v 1.0 iPhone, can I just do a build to jailbreak? Will this leave the unlock done with pwnage 2.0 in place?

Au

One interesting find only a couple of people have commented about, is that the custom firmware file is much smaller then the original.

It dont make sense unless something is being left out. Has anyone noticed anything missing ?

Is anyone having problems restoring from a backup?

I have restored the phone to the custom 2.0.1 firmware, but when I select to restore it from a backup, it freezes at about 95%.

EDIT: And this shows up in the system.log:

Code:
com.apple.iTunes[177]: MobileDevice: receive_message: Could not receive size of message: 0 Unknown error: 0
com.apple.iTunes[177]: MobileDevice: _read_callback: Could not receive message
com.apple.iTunes[177]: MobileDevice: send_message: Could not send message size: Bad file descriptor
com.apple.iTunes[177]: MobileDevice: AMDeviceCopyValue: There was an error getting the value from lockdown
EDIT 2: Well it took about 30 minutes, but it ended up restoring OK. Guess I need to be more patient

Mmmm I'm a bit disappointed that they did this. Might mean haven't made much way compromising the iPhone security.

No go for me, Cydia wouldn't open. I've gone back to 2.0.
