Default Is there a way to close all windows on Safari (iPhone) when exiting

Every time a launch a new web app or web page through the bookmarklet it opens in a new page. Eventually the iPhone will tell me I have too many pages open.

Is there a setting I've missed which will allow me to close all?

I have this as well but I can't justify jailbreaking the phone and risking warranty just to have this corrected. If someone comes across a fix for non jailbroken phones please let us know.

When the screen is locked, double click the home button to start iPod music tracks on shuffle.

If your iphone turns it self off and you can't turn it back on. Just plug it into itunes and it will fix it self. I hope apple know of this problem and will fix it in the new update.

It is not really what you want, but you can hold the home button for several seconds to force quit safari. That should get rid of them.

When you are listening to music, double tap the home button and music controls will pop up no matter what screen your on. Note: This may not work on some apps.

When in an app you can easily and quickly return to the main screen by pushing the 'home' button.
This 'home' button will override any activity currently taking place. Always been an under rated feature of the iPhone.

As explained here, click on iPhone Details and Capacity Bar in iTunes to get some useless information.

A video of this in action is here.

Default Faster sync

Just received this tip
Quote:
Disable iPhone/iPod Touch Backups Before Syncing

by Matt, matt@smalldog.com

With the opening of the iTunes App Store and the release of iPhone 2.0
software, I’ve accumulated quite a collection of Apps. Without a
doubt, these new pieces of the digital lifestyle are more enhancing
than all the others we’ve seen in recent memory. One of the
drawbacks, though, is that it takes forever for your iPhone or iPod
touch to back itself up prior to synchronizing. At its worst, with
about 30 Apps on my iPod, it took over an hour. These backups are not
only moving the applications themselves, but all the data and
preferences created in them. For example, if you use the fuel economy
calculator MPG, and your iPod is dropped or breaks between
synchronization sessions, you’d lose all that data were it not for the
backup process.

When I got my first flash-based iPod, another iPod Touch, I expected
transfer speeds to be greatly improved over the more conventional hard
drive-based video iPod that had become my back up. Turns out transfer
speed seemed a lot slower on the Touch than it did on the video iPod.
This doesn’t help the backing up issue prior to synching even a few
small podcasts.

It seems the only solution is to live dangerously: disable the backup
feature altogether. Here’s how you do it:

Quit iTunes
Open Terminal and issue this command: defaults write com.apple.iTunes
DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool YES
Re-launch iTunes
Attach your iDevice

The whole process will go much quicker now without that pesky backup
taking forever. It’s important to remember that you do need to back
up that iDevice now and again, especially if the data contained
thereon is of value. To re-enable this backup feature:

Quit iTunes
Open Terminal and issue this command: defaults write com.apple.iTunes
DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool NO
</pre>

Hi All

When you receive a PDF and you view it from email, is there any way to zoom in or increase the size? Some PDF that I have received are too small and require enlarging, any help here would be appreciated!

Decide what App on the dock you don't want on there. Remove it to the screen and then drag the Messages app on to the dock.

To activate moving apps do the following:

In the "home" screen (the one with all the apps showing) press on an App and hold for a few seconds. Once done you'll notice that all the apps wriggle and some have a big X at the top left. You can now move apps.
