Every time a launch a new web app or web page through the bookmarklet it opens in a new page. Eventually the iPhone will tell me I have too many pages open.
Is there a setting I've missed which will allow me to close all? DPW

It is not really what you want, but you can hold the home button for several seconds to force quit safari. That should get rid of them.

When you are listening to music, double tap the home button and music controls will pop up no matter what screen your on. Note: This may not work on some apps.

When in an app you can easily and quickly return to the main screen by pushing the 'home' button.
This 'home' button will override any activity currently taking place. Always been an under rated feature of the iPhone.

As explained here, click on iPhone Details and Capacity Bar in iTunes to get some useless information.

To activate moving apps do the following: In the "home" screen (the one with all the apps showing) press on an App and hold for a few seconds. Once done you'll notice that all the apps wriggle and some have a big X at the top left. You can now move apps.
