Best way to post images in the forum is to upload them to Imageshack:
ImageShack® - Image Hosting
... then paste the link in here.

What's the firmware version?
(It should be four letters or numbers in your system profiler - e.g. ZA0E)

this looks like it,
http://www.powerbook-fr.com/IMG/zip/UJ-857E-ZB0E.zip
just double check the firmware version (ZB0E) - i think there is only one for the 857E but you better check.

in system profiler -> ATA where it says revision.
(there are actually 2 versions i see, so find out which it is and then download the correct one)
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting is the other one.
here is the thread, your firmware is listed towards the bottom of the first page.

+1 to that! I reckon drive locking is anticompetative in a globalised world. I mean, my job can go overseas, but my DVD's can't? Where's the reasoning behind that!?!

i know its really annoying thats why i wanted to fix this problem, the only problem is that my MBP wants me to update my OXS to 10.5.2 and its not working. but when it does my problem should be resolved
we should complain, it dosnt make sense.
