 Can't erase DVD-RW anymore.

Unhappy Can't erase DVD-RW anymore.
My MBP is refusing to erase DVD-RW discs anymore. I'm running 10.5.2 and it last worked (on this specific disc) under 10.5.1.

I've tried erasing a couple of different discs, using both Disk Utility (quick and complete) and Disco. It appears to erase properly, with no errors reported, but it never finishes and comes up with the "You've inserted a blank disc" anymore. And when I go to the finder and click back on the disc, the original files are still there. I've also tried it before and after a full reboot with no joy.

Any ideas?

I sometimes experienced this using CD-RWs. They'd just stop working after a while. Erases would never work, and they wouldn't accept anything being written to them. I could never work out how to fix it either.

Both DVD's were working fine just last week... Now suddenly both refuse to erase...

I dunno... I'm blaming 10.5.2 at this stage..

Try an external device before you blame the OS. If you can't do that you can't effectively troubleshoot this issue.
