macbook repair story

long story short.. i took a macbook into an unnamed apple repairer to have the upper case replaced as it was cracking. took it home & back a few times as it was making a clicking/popping sound when pressure is placed on the front-right area. this saga has been happening for about 2 weeks now ..

call them up today to find out what the progress is on my macbook being fixed again. they got the macbook on monday, left it sitting there for 2 days and re-seated the upper case again yesterday morning. i rang them up again today and they told me "we re-seated the upper case yesterday, and are keeping it for oberservation"

when i asked them if "keeping it for observation" meant they were just letting it sit there waiting for it to click by itself (without pressing their wrist etc on it) the guy i talked to said "yes". i gave the guy a bit of an earful again, and he told me that applying some pressure on the macbook might actually reproduce the problem! no shit!

turns out he was correct.. they've just been letting it sit there waiting for it to click/pop by itself. is this a once off, or do all apple techs seem to resemble retarded monkeys?

That is utterly ridiculous. I would be taking it elsewhere. Hope it wasn't in Brisbane. I am not looking forward to putting my MB in for a top case replacement....

What's the general story with the fault?
White or black MBs ... just on the right ... any particular revision ... or what?
