When will the updated Macbooks be available instore?

Hi

Does anyone know when the updated Macbooks will be available instore? I was in DJs Chadstone yesterday and they seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. They said their Apple guy was in Thursday so I was going to phone then.

Apple distributors, and resellers, will want to get rid of old stock.

Apple snuck this in, and tried to hide it from the normal sheep that buy computers.

Just say you will not buy until you get new Nov 2007, 2.2Ghz stock.

Also an idea, print this Apple page out...

http://www.apple.com/au/macbook/macbook.html

And say you want only per this with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, and Leopard pre-installed.

They may say wait and come back when we do.

Apple on-line store is a whole other kettle of fish.

hi camille

i'm the djs chadstone apple guy
i have told the staff there about the new macbooks
you may have talked to one of the new guys

ive checked and it looks like none have shipped yet
but i cant imagine it being long

if you ring the store and leave your details, i'd be happy
to let you know when they are shipping and put one aside for you

Thank you so much! Will do that today.

FWIW, there was a female there yesterday. She didn't really seem to know much at all so was wondering whether it was her department or not.

there's only one female selling macs at djs chadstone and she is a mac user herself, it must have been someone covering the area

We got ours at JB Hi Fi Castle Hill yesterday.

MacBook Pros are a different story, however. Apparently there's a worldwide shortage at the moment.
