MBP from Apple Online or Local Shop??Need Advise pls!!!

hi, i am planning to get a MBP 2.4, BUT i have asked all the shops in mel and they do not have them in stock until end of Sep. i have called Apple online and they told me i will get it for 2-3 weeks, which is faster than the shop.so is it a good way to buy it online? thx

btw, seems local education reseller can not do the 10% ddiscount for the base model as apple online unless you buy applecare or upgrade ram with them, this is really !@#$%@#$

If you want it ASAP, it seems like the online store is the best way to go, plus you can easily get the full EDU discount - http://apple.com.au/edustore

I've overheard MAC1 stating that they won't do student discounts on any product anymore.

Do you qualifiy for student ADC? It can work out a bit cheaper than EDU.

No resellers offer EDU discounts anymore - except for those on campus (UNSW, RMIT, Uni Melb and I think ANU).
