I never liked American coffee - but installed this end - and so far no sign of problems!

Just a warning: some people are reporting a problem with this update in which funny "waves" appear rippling up and down your screen, especially visible on a blue background.

Apparently the solution is to "zap your pram".

yep, PRAM zappage all the way! (just hold down cmd+option+P+R, when you reboot, and keep holding till you hear the startup 'bong' 3 times, then let go and let mac os x startup as usual).

Yes the abnormally loud beep is normal (it gave me quite a shock!). You only need to reset your PRAM if there's a problem.

Im having a problem installing the 1.3 EFI Firmware on my 2.4 SR MBP.

I download the update from Software Update, enter my credentials, instal the update, shut down and then press and hold the power button to start.

I release the power button, the light rapidly blinks, then I get a loud 3 second beep, then it boots into OS X without installing the update.

Tried running using the EFI Restoration CD and zapping the PRAM, still no go.

Any ideas?
