Unhappy Eye Tv

Hi

I have just bought a TwinHan DVB-T USB 2.0 Eye Tv. I went through the set up with the supplied disc and all was going fine until I got to the prompt to connect the unit to the computer (MBP C2D).I connected to a USB port that I know works and waited but the 'Next' button did not become active and could go no further with the set up. I tried it with both the supplied arieal and the house arieal.

Has anyone had this problem or knows a solution?

Thanks

Nick

I have Miglia Twin tuner unit. I rebooted my Mac Mini and it recognised the unit the second time around. Do not connect the unit to a hub but rather connect to a free usb port on the mac itself.

I tried rebooting it and uninstalling it and starting agian but no luck. Contacted Twinhan support in Melbourne who were pretty offhand and said it's probably a dud. I took it back to Domayne were I bought it and Luke the guy there was very helpful and just said he'd replace it. So he got another sealed box and we went through the set up on my MPB but there was no Authentication code in the box. Luke rang the same person I'd spoken to in Melbourne only to be told it wasn't possible for one of their units to go out with out the Authentication code card and called Luke a liar!
I got an apology and a refund and Luke took the remaining units off the shelf and was going to stop stocking them.

To cut a long story short I bought an Elgato from Next Byte and no problems.

Berty - how do you find watching HDTV on your MBP?

I haven't had a chance to have much of a look yet but the little I have seen is ok. I have a new digital aerial on the house which is good because I can only get SBS and then with a slightly scrambeled service through the small indoor one that comes with elagato.
