Left Fan 6000RPM | Right Fan 0RPM | Tempreture 75degrees. Is this normal?

Hey,
I'm not sure if I have a screwed up macbook pro C2D 2.33ghz 160gb HDD.

Ok. My left is is running at 6000RPM and my right one is at 0. My computers tempreture is 75 Degrees and I'm running iChat and Safari. left fan seems to be allways running aswell. Is this normal or is my right fan ment to be running!?!? My MBP hasnt crashed yet due to intense heat. I cant remember if the right fan ever turns on i can only test it if im in a game or my comp gets realy hot I think it did though.

please help

Simo

I have a mbp cd and could never hear any fans until downloaded smcfancontrol and amazing - it has fans!

I mean on hot days or even semi hot days or when I have it absolutely flat out crunching, you could fry an egg on it - now do the job manually.... have u got this app? perhaps try kicking in manually? if doesnt work my guess would be the fan is crapped.
Seems you and I have a thermo sensor issue perhaps... will get around to warr one of these days as sure it's not right on my side and yours does not sound right either..

ps: 75deg seems to be the max generally - have not seen smcfancontrol show anything higher when pumping the system - may be like a car 'eh; normal operating temp for cetain conditions

maybe sort out why your cpu is running at 100% like in your dashboard thread which has evolved from the iStat beta thread, and then see if the temp comes down, try some smcfancontrol or iCyclone to get your fans spinning better...

The fans are supposed to be at same RPM all the time. And never go below 1000RPM. They are always on.

Yeah. A dead fan is bad news.

Running hotter = more likely to crash or cause permanent damage.

Why have I not been able to find fan controllers for PPC? Can someone direct me with a link/email me an app?

Found this with a quick search on Google. Is that sort of what you might be looking for?
