so the question is "is it safe to leave the battery in" or should i take it out?

if i take it out, where do i store the battery? does it need to go into any special place or what? i note that apple send the laptops with the batteries in.... just wondering

specifically i will be putting into storage a iBook G4 and a old Piso G3 500 fw (as well as my iMac and canon printer - and a few external HD's - my collection of dvd's (both burnt and brougt) and my cd's (brought and brought) - also my xbox is going into the storage shed toooo - yea i am going away can you tell :-) ill probably be arround but i just kinda wonder whats the best way to store all this technoligy stuff....

thanks in advance

you should charge the batteries to about 3/4 and then remove them

make sure you sit them on something rubber so discharge is minimal

when you get back do a few cycle charges
