Hi,
My PB 1.67 Ghz 1.5 GB RAM 10.4.7 has developed a strange intermittent problem.

Generally I use it as 2nd desktop, so it is on 24/7 (running SETI whilst idling). However, now and then my wife would borrow it and she would put PB to sleep when not in use (screen down). The Light would pulse, but when I would open the lid, the light will go out and PB would not wake. Pressing power button would not yield anything (well, sometimes there is whoosh noise, but PB would not boot). The only way to re boot is to take battery out, reinsert and press power button.

Is this a sign of bad things to come?
PB is about 6 months old.

Andy

there are several threads relating to similar issues. worth finding out quickly what is the problem as it could be the logic board. take it to the applecentre.

I'd definitely be taking it to the nearest Apple Authorised Repair Centre.

Thanks guys. I will experiment with various sleep methods to make sure that problem is 100% replicable at the repair centre (these types of problems are hard to replicate on demand)
Thanks again.
