Our Applecentre has one: arrived about 11AM today. Very sexy machines.

Funny how the black MacBooks are such a novelty for we Mac users (though they ARE infinitely better designed than PC notebooks). For the PC users it'd be the white ones.

My wife is keen to see a black one, infact she then wants to monitor closer anyone who gets one to determine any nagging issues.

I popped into the Apple shop in Chadstone this morning, and they had a Bernard there. He is so tiny that I left.... Too small for me.... didn't notice any glare issues in the shop, but I was busy being an uncommunicative customer (sorry, guy who works there, I'm no good at customering)

yeah. I'm looking for 'the only computer in the house' type of thing. My portability is more of a bedroom-kitchen-lounge-backyard thing.
the macbook would be great if i wanted something to use on the go.

I can't quite fathom how that tiny little MacBook can have the same processor as a 20" iMac.....

Got my new blackbook home and guess what, damn hot, too hot to touch near the screen and the black paint is coming of near the catch and I can see the white underneath. Apparently I may have to wait to get the outer case replaced rather than getting it swapped out.

That sounds rally crap. Are you able to post some photos to show the damage? What caused it were you burning discs or editing video, somthing processor hungry? Or just playing?

The heat was caused only by the OS running no apps, was however plugged into mains. I will try to post some pics of the paint issue, just looks like it hasn't been completely covered or some immense rubbing has rubbed it off, spoke to Apple Support and they are more than happy to fix and they haven't heard of such things and were vey apologetic so I am all happy, just hope it doesn't take too long to fix.
