Well, I've got four more invites. The next four people that request one in this thread, with their email address can have an invite.
No PMs thanks!

better consider saving one for herbie before he gets upset that he missed out again....
but only consider - i am sure if he wrote nice polite request instead of winging that he missed out - he would get further....

I've had a gmail account for about a week now and haven't accumulated any invites yet, otherwise I'd be giving them out! Has anybody else noticed that the invites have dried up, or is it just me? I'd understand if it was means tested on your usage but...I'm actually using the account!
I wanted to get an account now simply for a comprehensible account name (none of this ...200884 for me), as (assuming google goes public with this thing - they could always pull it you know) I see it sticking around for a long time. I do find the whole centralised databasing of my life a little unnerving, but I control what information goes to these free mailboxes anyway.

sorry herbie, i may have been the one that got the third of josh's invites! i'll chuck one your way if i get any invites.

Thanks mate, I really appreciate it. Looks like josh 64 will be sending me one though. Of course having one for the wife would be great as well but I figure I can generate a code for her once I hav3e an account.

LOL, you're right of course. I wasn't feeling very good when I posted that message and I'd like to apologize if I offended anyone. Currently dealing with some nerve pain in my left knee that's got my jaw and my mood on edge.

Iodine was kind enough to send me a Gmail invite. Thanks
I've found it perfect for dealing with high-volume mailing lists. Especially ones where people don't remove quoted texts, as it hides that part of the email by default. Annoyingly, it's crashed Safari 3 times. Now I don't have to worry whether or not I keep or delete messages.
