Once you create your account, Thomas Kuehn will be notified with
your new email address so you can stay in touch with Gmail!

If you haven't already heard about Gmail, it's a new search-based webmail
service that offers:

- Over 2,000 megabytes (two gigabytes) of free storage
- Built-in Google search that instantly finds any message you want
- Automatic arrangement of messages and related replies into
* "conversations"
- Text ads and related pages that are relevant to the content of your
* messages

Gmail is still in an early stage of development. But If you set up an
account, you'll be able to keep it even after we make Gmail more
widely available. We might also ask for your comments and suggestions
periodically and we appreciate your help in making Gmail even better.
Enjoy. Plenty more where that came from (and I don't even use my Gmail account, lol).

I'm fairly certain gmail is out of beta for Australians now so just head on over to http://gmail.google.com and sign up for an account.

Yeah, they just send a code to your mobile phone that you need to put in.

Indeed, this is true. Still says beta on the logo though. A bit of a moot point as most gmail users have 100 invites these days (mine down to 98 now). I've noticed they have stopped refreshing the number of invites available though. I remember giving away my 6 first invites then 2 days later I had another 6.

I get over 20 spam messages a day (mainly because I plastered my email address everywhere) but it all goes to the spam filter.

Whats more, it has never put good mail in the 'spam' box.

I just noticed an article about gmail becomming available in Australia without an invite. I just assumed they were already, but if anyone needs/wants an invite pm me and I will send you one.
