Hey guys, does anyone know if there is a cable to display and RGB (composite) signal on my dell monitor?

You mean something like this? Or one of the converters on this list?

It is possible to get cheap units (sub $200) that will do the conversion, but the output resolution will be something that most LCD screens cannot display, although most multiscan CRT monitors can handle. You need a video frame converter which is capable of taking the composite video's raw 720x576 and expanding that into a resolution your monitor can accept. Alas, decent video frame converters start at $500 and go up from there, as they are specialty bits of kit.

Let's get the terminology straight first.
Do you mean:

- Separate RGB cables (component)
- A single yellow RCA cable (composite)

Might be worth checking out some of the higher-end Dell monitors that have inputs for practically anything.

Yours for around $35 AUD...

DealExtreme.com - Component Video to VGA Adapter with PC Sharing for PSP 2000/PS3/Wii/Xbox/DVD
DealExtreme: $28.62 Component Video to VGA Adapter with PC Sharing for PSP 2000/PS3/Wii/Xbox/DVD

Will probably take a week or 2 to ship form Hong Kong.
Price includes shipping costs.

Powered by USB (good if your monitor has a built-in hub)
Read the reviews on the page. It's cheap and it works

I don't own one. But the reviews look promising.

make sure you click the "read all reviews" link.
The user experiences make for some educational reading.

Youtube has this:

C'mon, $35 is worth the gamble

If it works, you win. If it doesn't, there's bound to be someone around who'll take it off your hands!
