IceTV is the Australian TV guide you use within EyeTV. They also have remote recording that implements with EyeTV. So if your not at home you can set something to record via the web and EyeTV will check this, then record the show for you.

EyeTV is the software that controls your tuner.

So does it mean the only way to see and record Aussie programs is buying a service like IceTV? SHouldn't a TV guide be free? I don't understand...

And what the place of tivo is as I saw people saying IceTV is better than Tivo...

Yes, the stations all broadcast their own EPG. But IceTV is much nicer to look at and allows you to pick and choose what to record. You don't have to buy it at all if you don't want to.

Tivo is a completely different system.

Some more info here: IceTV - About

Feel free to ask questions though.

For free, IceTV is:
- A free widget that shows today's TV guide, is searchable and can keep track of your favourite shows
- A TV guide website that does all the things the widget does
- An iPhone app that does all the widget does

For a subscription, IceTV is:
- An electronic program guide that can be used with the EyeTV software or a PVR to record digital TV (including all the high def channels)
- The same widget, but it can remotely record single shows or an entire series and show you 7 days of TV guide
- A website that does all the widget does including remote recording etc
- An iPhone app that does all the widget does including remote recording etc

Lots of other small features I haven't mentioned too
