Sporadic Net today???
G'day,

Is it just me (on Optus Cable, Brisbane) or has the net been real painful today?

Like - for the past 20 minutes I've had trouble going most anywhere fast - most sites simply not loading at all.... Now suddenly it's all good again.

iinet in Brisbane has been going on an off line ever since I got home from work, and currently pages are loading veeerry slowly. There was no fault info on iinet's website, so I figured it was a cable issue. I went completely offline for nearly a day when Optus went AWOL last week.

Mmmm, maybe Optus is doing further repair work or something, causing the problems...

Hmmm. I don't think it is just limited to your ISP either. I had trouble yesterday for about an hour accessing a number of sites both here and in the US. I got the spinning beachball a few times. This through Telstra and cable broadband.
All good now though.

my interwebs are still dropping in and out. the connection was just down for a good ten minutes. Network diagnostics says I am connecting to the ISP, but not internet or server. No info on iinet's website though.

It's been happening here again today, though not as bad as yesterday...

Just odd how some sites do work, and some don't... Not even like - local AU sites are ok - it's just random... (well, from what I can tell)

looks like optus in QLD are having some issues not really much more but they say they are working on it. this is cable only thus far
