Flip camera in Australia?

Hi all,

I am looking to buy a Flip camera, but have not found an online store that will deliver to Australia. Most won't deliver outside the US or UK. Has anyone seen these on sale here in Australia or an online store that would ship here?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Diego

Perhaps Price USA | Shop where you want might be an option.

You can find them on ebay.com in the US. You may find one who delivers international. Well there is a business adventure for you! import them in and sell them on your own.

I wish I had the financial ability to stock up with them then sell them.

If you find one, let me know. I have one that I bought when I was over there but it's a great little camera and don't mind another.

Hi Kristian,

I was wondering, you have the US version. So everything works fine for you here in Australia? Except maybe the TV Out which is NTSC and not PAL.

Cheers,
Diego

Yup, I never used the TV out option anyway.

Not wanting to ruin the thread, but you might want to consider something this review before buying and being disappointed: The Flip v. My Cheap Canon Camera: Flip Loses Across The Board

Thanks for the link. Interesting. Although I have a problem with someone "reviewing" something when they say this:

Quote:
So I haven’t actually tried out the new Flip Mino. But I’ve spoken with people who have, and I used the Flip Ultra, which launched late last year, for a while before abandoning it. And I just can’t figure out why people like this thing.
The thing that attracted me to it is the simplicity. I find that there are times that I want to film something but I can't be bothered getting out the camcorder and doing the steps it requires to film. I'm referring to things that you don't plan on filming. You see it and want to shoot it. And that's why I thought the simplicity of the Flip would be great.

Nonetheless, thank you and I shall continue reading around.

I've been looking at the Flips lately as well and came across this comparative review of 6 cheap handheld cams, including both the Flip Ultra and Mino:
