Default Small office solution needed

Hi all

Need a bit of advice on how to go about sharing files in our office. Currently have two Mac Pros with the same data on each hard drive. Going forward, need to put all the data in one spot and have each computer able to access it. Is it as easy as getting a 1TB hard disk to share and hooking it up via firewire or ethernet? I think the xserve will be overkill (and a little expensive).

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Cheers.

A gigabit switch and a self-contained NAS hard disk is probably the cheapest and easiest solution for you right now.

+1, something like this from Jaycar...
Jaycar Electronics

You'll need to add a drive as the linked product is case only.

...and no, I'm not in any way related to the firm linked.
