I just tried to access Whirlpool and I got "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)". Is it down?

Especially at the start of this year, whenever the Apple Store website went down in preparation of some new amazing device/price etc, it became an injoke for someone sooner or later to suggest that the new device could be a Powerbook G5.

Due to processor problems, the Powerbook range of Apple laptops never adopted the G5 PowerPC processor - stopping at the G4 chip. Apple however kept promising a G5 Powerbook...

To actually understand this 'joke' properly, I think it's best for the time to be after 1am, and perhaps following the ingestion of a few beers...

to be fair, the g5 joke started the day the intel chips were announced. but yeah, the fail whale is the new g5. this weekend iinet had some bad dns issues, which left google.com down and twitter up. fucking bizarre.
