If you are stuck with adsl 1, I would recommend exetel - I have been with them for a couple of years now and have never had a problem that hasn't been either immediately rectified, or quickly explained to my satisfaction.

$85 per month will get you an 8mbs service with some pretty hefty download limits (48 off peak, 36 peak), and they only have 6 month contract terms, saving you having to sign up for a year or so.

iiNet's main benefit is that Apple stuff (certainly iTunes Store and I think Mobile Me) is in the "free zone" and doesn't count towards your monthly limit. You have to be patient on the phone though as they take an age to answer their technical support lines (well, they did... haven't needed to call recently touch wood).

You also don't need to sign a contract for a certain length with iiNet which might suit you if you're not going to be in the country for 24 months or whatever some of them ask for.
