Anyone tried Launch TPG usage meter?

Has anyone tried using the Launch TPG usage meter. Is it accurate? Is it worth using?
Will the meter 'steal' by account details for other uses/purposes?

Post your thoughts.

Thanks,

It works. It shows you how much you have used on your current month, and that's about it. It pretends to be a web browser that logs into your TPG MyAccount account usage page and reads the data from that.

No, it doesn't use your TPG login details for anything else.

The plans in the current version are still out of date, and the program has no concept of split-quota (peak & offpeak) plans that are rapidly becoming the norm at TPG.

I much prefer Murgo's TPG Usage Meter by Aaron Murgatroyd ... except it is for Windows only, unfortunately. MTUM is what every usage-meter should be, in that it maintains statistics and lets me view the download history in one of eight different charts & graphs across many months.

I love it... use it all the time if I can't be stuffed logging in and checking my account manually...

I tried installing it and it went strange on me - it wasn't displaying properly in that the lower half of the widget disappeared so I couldn't complete the set-up. I'm getting connected next week and looking forward to cheap voip calls and decent adsl2 speeds.

works well for me, I just launch it then hide it and it leaves a simple indicator in the dock.

works great!
the only thing is, it's its own application, so unless you want the app always open (not running in the background), you have to hide it via dockless
