Looks alright to me. But then, I am partial to brown.

I don't mind the design. I do mind the brown.

It's really not offensive - it's not filled me full of excitement either. I think it's unfair to room 101 it.

To me the biggest problem isn't the colours, its the way it tries to pack SO much information on the landing page.

Does anyone REALLY read all that? If you're interested in the Web Hosting forum, three thread titles isn't going to help you search for the info you want... and if you're not interested then there is so much tiny text that you're not going to look at the thread titles and all of a sudden become interested.

It's always a problem in web design... how do you balance the amount of information that people want?

And how do you give people less, when it's what they need, even when what they THINK they want is more?

That page would be so much better with big links to "technology"... "Computers"... etc, smaller links to the actual forums "Broadband"..."DSL Hardware" and NO links to individual threads underneath.

If you have to have a recent thread link on the front page, make it useful - something that looks at hot topics, most posts in the last 24 hrs, upcoming posts. The current way of doing it just doesn't work for me... so much info that it all becomes meaningless.

I once heard someone say "if the internet is so cool how come it looks like we bought it at Kmart?"

It's not awful, it's just another Kmart site.

Yep, that has bitten me twice since I started using my laptop to browse this site - but only when using the touchpad, never when I'm using a mouse.

I think it would make more sense for the logout hotspot to be directly below your user name, rather than directly between the two most clicked bits of the navigator: 'Preferences' and 'Recent Topics'

It looks incredibly busy but I suppose having every forum there on the front page is handy.

I would hate to be the goose who posted this: Apple release the 3gb iPhone
He's currently getting boned from all angles for inaccuracies - Heh? A 3 Giga Byte iPhone released today

Here's a site that I found:

Worst Web Design found on Internet

I really have to agree that MSY is one of the worst web pages that I've seen.

I love the colours. As for comparison to the old design, I can't remember what the old one looked like.

Looks the same to me, just with a few colour changes. I still reckon Whirlpool has the cleanest forum design.
