I figured that guitar pedals are gadgets - of sorts, so forgive me if this is in the wrong section but I need some help! :-)


I'm thinking of purchasing a Line 6 Verbzilla from an american store on ebay, and I was wondering whether the voltage difference in mains supply would blow up the pedal if I were to plug it in to the wall - or would a 9 volt adapter the same thing whether its plugged into the american pedal or the Australian pedal?

Sorry if I can't be more specific, but I'm a bit of an electrical retard. All the website says is required is a:
- Single 9-Volt Battery, or
- Line 6 DC-1 9-Volt DC Power Supply (buy it now)

Should work, yes?

If you get a local power pack you will be fine.

If you use the US one with a converter then you *may* experience hum in your signal.

I think this is true for Tube Amplifiers but I have no idea how it will effect a purely digital pedal.
