Apologies DJY.

The North Quarter bit is where Mac1, Dendy and JB Hi-Fi are, at least that was my understanding of what that bit was called.

Looking forward to the collation.

I wonder if there might be a "bring you iPod touch to our coffee shop/retail outlet" marketing opportunity here. Perhaps if there were several touch owners (not me alas) who approached Mac 1, JB etc to see if they were willing to make WiFi available might have an impact.

Valentino's used to, not sure now though.

If a worthwhile business model can be found it might encourage a lot more open networks.

I've only tried the Starbucks on City Walk, and there's a number of locked APs, and then there's Telstra's AP. I paid $14 for an hour, and it dropped out after 10 minutes, and Telstra didn't want to return the money 'cause they aren't responsible for dropouts. Right...

So yeh, there's other better services out there, for sure - especially if they're free!

I've seen a name at a number of cafe locations, but no one seems to know anything about it. Does anyone know anything about "l@tt3c0ff33"?
